AHHHHH! Mountain Air!

We left for Colorado on June 20.  The kids and I drove, and Clif flew out the next day after church.  We will be here a month, combining 4 vacations into one.  I have heard many times, "How nice it must be to be a teacher!"

Our first week was one of the greatest ever.  Spending a week in Estes Park with our friends and Deerbrook family was heavenly.  I loved getting to share my love of the mountains with my friends, and we found ourselves in leadership positions as we helped families decide what hikes to do, etc.  It was the perfect collision of 2 of my favorite worlds.  Our kids had a different experience at the Y as well.  They had so much more freedom than they have had in the past and they enjoyed getting to show their friends the ropes.  Emory spent 2 days sick, but she rallied and still got to do her favorite things.

Here is a video from the week, as well as a few of my favorite shots.  Chasm at sunrise was a huge highlight for me, and Clif would say the same thing about the hike up Flattop.  Conversations are easy and relationships are easy to build on the trail.
